Mogo Uganda: 3.4 Million Views From 54 Local Creators

Mogo has been running creator campaigns on Burst since late 2025. This case study covers seven of them, run between March and June 2026. The combined result: 3.4 million views from 54 Ugandan creators, at around UGX 8 per view.
The job
Most Ugandans have seen the Mogo logo on a boda. Fewer could tell you what the company actually does. The campaigns had to fix that: explain boda and asset financing in plain language, through people the audience already trusts.
The approach
Rather than one big launch, Mogo kept running smaller campaigns with different angles. A myth-busting round ("What does MOGO actually offer?"). The Mogo Boda Story. A dance challenge for the "Ebbeyi Bajisaze" campaign. Then Power Your Future, which did well enough to get a sequel, and the sequel became their biggest campaign yet.
Each round taught the next one something. Creators who performed came back. Formats that flopped got dropped. By campaign seven the playbook mostly ran itself.
The results
- 3,167,256 unique accounts reached
- 7 completed campaigns
- 54 creators
- 11.31% engagement rate
- about UGX 8 per view
Why it worked
Showing up repeatedly beats showing up loudly. A finance brand needs trust, and trust builds over months, not in one campaign. Pay-per-view pricing made the repetition affordable: every shilling went to views that actually happened, so the budget for seven campaigns did what one TV flight might cost.
