What a creator campaign actually costs in Uganda right now.

CPM, the cost per 1,000 views, is the number that tells you what your budget is really buying. People ask what's normal. The honest answer is that it depends on your category, and June's Burst campaigns show the range clearly.

An eco and construction brand ran at 20,000 UGX per 1,000 views.

An automotive brand ran at 25,000 UGX.

A financial services brand ran at 30,000 UGX.

Same platform, same month, same country. The difference is the category. More competitive, higher-value categories tend to carry a higher CPM, because attention there is worth more and harder to win.

What this means for planning: don't benchmark your campaign against a number you saw for a different kind of product. A snack brand and a loan company are not buying the same attention.

A useful CPM is one that's efficient for your category and pairs with strong watch time. That combination, not the raw number, tells you the campaign is working.

Until next time,
