You've paid a creator a flat fee before. Here's what you bought.

Most creator deals still work the old way. You agree a flat fee, the creator posts, and whatever happens next is your problem. If the video lands, you got a bargain. If it flops, you paid full price for a post nobody watched.

Read that back and the risk is obvious. You're paying for the act of posting, not for anyone actually seeing it. The creator has your money either way, so all the pressure to perform sits with you.

Burst runs it the other way. You set a rate per thousand views and pay for views delivered. A video that underperforms costs you less. A video that takes off gives you the reach at the price you agreed. The creator earns by being watched, which is exactly the incentive you want them to have.

Same creators, same content. The difference is who carries the risk when a video doesn't work.

Stop paying for the post. Pay for the views.

Until next time,
