Here's a snapshot of July on Burst. Three Ugandan campaigns, three unrelated categories, and together they delivered 367,760 views. A menstrual-health cause reached 106,906. A mobile money service reached 129,743. An online shop reached 131,111. A charity drive, a fintech, and an e-commerce brand, all landing in the same six-figure range. Now the part worth sitting with: the price barely moved. Those campaigns ran at CPMs of 20,000 to 22,500 UGX. Very different products, very different goals, almost the same cost per thousand views. That's useful for planning. In Uganda right now, the cost of reaching people through creators isn't set by how "premium" your category feels. It's set by the market. A cause and a bank are buying attention at close to the same rate. So when you budget, don't assume your category carries a penalty. The evidence from last month says the door is open at a similar price, whatever you sell. | |
