Ugandan creators hold attention better than the global average.

Engagement rate, the share of a creator's audience that likes, comments, or shares, is one of the more honest numbers in creator marketing. It's hard to fake at scale, and it tells you whether an audience is awake or just large.

Ugandan creators score well on it. Our recent top performers sit consistently in the 10 to 14% range. Last month's standout held 10.70%. Another of our busiest creators runs closer to 13%. For context, a rate above a few percent is considered strong in most markets.

Why so high here? The audience is smaller and more tightly held. People follow creators they feel a real connection to, and they show up in the comments and shares to prove it. That closeness is exactly what a brand wants sitting behind a recommendation.

It's also a reason not to chase the biggest follower count. A creator with a smaller, highly engaged audience often delivers more real attention per view than a larger, quieter one.

When you compare creators, treat engagement rate as a headline number, not a footnote.
